Well, it’s been awhile since this has been updated, so I thought I’d tell you about what’s going on. Mimi’s a slacker…that’s all. Haha, I’m just kidding. She’s been really busy with H&V, school and running back and forth to Hobbs to see us. Here’s what’s been going on in the Johnson household…
Konner will be 2yrs old on Sunday the 28th. He’s 31lbs and 35 3/4in tall, which is very tall for his age. He loves fruit and vegetables. If he could live on apples, bananas and green beans he would. We give him ketchup or barbeque sauce to dip any kind of meat in because he won’t eat it otherwise. He learned how to peddle his tricycle while we were at Mimi‘s house. After some convincing, he decided the swimming pool can be a lot of fun…as long as Mimi holds your hand! But nothing’s as fun as wrestling or playing ball with Dad. Mom is good for hugs, but Dad is still who he prefers to play with so he can be rough. He’s repeating everything we say, not always such a good thing! Haha!
Tyler is a laid back, easy going little guy. He was 15lbs 11oz and 25 1/2in long at his 6mth check up. I’ve introduced pears, applesauce and bananas and he loves them all. I’ll work on introducing vegetables in the next few weeks. He’s been rolling over and putting anything he can reach into his mouth. The jumperoo has been a life saver with both babies! Tyler doesn’t really like being on his tummy, so I doubt he’ll crawl anytime soon. He can sit up on his own and thinks it’s really funny to take the toys away from Makenzie.
Makenzie, oh Makenzie. She’s a little firecracker! Haha, just like her Momma. If it’s not going her way or you’re not moving fast enough to feed/change her, she loses it. She hates bananas, but loves pears and applesauce. I’ll start her on vegetables in the next few weeks also. She was 15lbs 2oz and 25in long at her 6mth check up. She’s very close to crawling, looks more like an inchworm right now. She’s managed to get up on her knees and her tummy off the floor a few times. She’s not as good at sitting up on her own as Tyler is, it’s not nearly as fun as being on her tummy exploring.
For the past three days Tyler and Makenzie have been sleeping 11hrs straight…ahh bliss! Let’s hope they keep it up!!
The pediatrician says they’re right on track for their actual age, no need to use their adjusted age for milestones anymore. I think this is absolutely amazing!!! I’m so proud of them and can’t believe how blessed we are!
